Pub Crawl

Wednesday June 20 • Night

Experience the real street life of Beirut and join us for a night out in the Mar Mikhael district. Gentrified but grimy round the edges, this collection of streets is littered with art galleries, book stores, small streets, cafés, restaurants & bars. On summer nights this turns into one of the busiest areas and has something of an outdoor street party vibe. Plan to party, drink, listen to music and hang out until late night.

Thursday June 21 • Day

Arguably one of the most beautiful and picturesque areas in the Middle East the Bekaa Valley is historically immersed in the diverse legacies of many ancient civilizations. Bekaa is covered with olive groves, cultivated wheat fields and large numbers of vineyards, figs and pomegranate trees. We'll do a tour and wine tasting at the Kefraya vineyard, followed by lunch at Farah's family's farm in the valley nearby. Come hungry and thirsty.

Hotels

Beirut has a lot of choice when it comes to hotels and places to stay. We've chosen a few that we like below, and have negotiated rates with them. When you call to book just say you're coming for the wedding of Farah and Ibrahim.

If you're interested in walking around and having a downtown experience, you will want to go with the Ramada. If you want a more lay-by-the pool kind of vacation then the Mövenpick is the better choice. Finally, if you want to stay at a luxury boutique hotel close to Beirut's nightlife then the Albergo is the way to go.

We also highly recommend finding an Airbnb! There are some really amazing ones in Beirut,  offering beautiful old Arabic houses that make for a great living like a local feel. If you choose this, we recommend staying in the Mar MikhaelRaouche or Hamra areas for easy transportation and access.
